Crochet Pattern Round Up: Cropped Tops, Tees and Tanks!
I have decided to start compiling some of my favorite patterns in different categories since there are so many out there and lets face it, it can be hard to know where to start when seeking out new patterns & designers! Since summer is officially here I wanted to start with some fun crop top designs by some wonderful designers!
The Rachel Crop Top was my first pattern EVER and I am still so happy to see people enjoying the project and the design! It is written with sizing for XS/S (32-34A, 32B), S/M (36A, 34-36B, 32C), M/L (34-36C, 32-34D, 32DD), and L/XL (36D, 34-36DD). You will need worsted weight (4) yarn and a 5.5mm hook. Beginner/Advanced Beginner. $5.00
The Charlie Tank by Evelyn and Peter is an advanced beginner cropped summer tank pattern with sizing for XS, S, M, L, XL, 2X, and 3X. This pattern calls for superfine (1) weight yarn and a 3.5mm hook. $3.50 or free on her blog here.
The Penelope Crochet Set Tank and Cardigan Pattern by Ashlee of Dream Crochet Shoppe is a fun combo pattern that includes sizing for US Women Small-4X. $9.50
The Everyday Crop Top is one of my all-time favorite summer staple designs, the shape is able to “hold the girls in” nicely. This design is my go to as a bra replacement in the summer and has options for the straps so if you don’t like the halter style, you can have it criss cross and only tie at the bottom! Sizing for XS/S & M/L but I plan to expand the sizing on this one soon! You will need worsted weight (4) yarn and a 5.5mm hook. $5.00
Heather of CozyCreativeCrochets has TONS of crop tops and fun patterns in her shop that are perfect for summer but one of her beginner friendly options is her Goddess Bralette with sizing for A,B,C,D and DD cups. This pattern calls for worsted weight (4) yarn. $8.00
The Ele Top by Jess Root Knots has instructions for size XS, S, M, L and XL (bra cup size from A to DD). She also has a few crochet bikini patterns in her shop! This pattern calls for a light (3) weight yarn and a 3mm hook and is beginner friendly! $6.99
Summer Breeze Crop 2.0 by Designs by Key is a beginner friendly pattern that uses worsted weight yarn & a 5.25mm hook and has sizing from XS-5XL! $4.00
Zig-Zag-Zummer Top by Nomad Stitches is a beginner friendly pattern with 9 sizes to choose from! You will need sport weight yarn (2) and a 3mm hook! $7.63
Crochet Summer Crop Top by TCDDIY uses basic stitches and according to her “This pattern is for a size small, but if you’re willing to measure along it can be used for any size”. I believe she also has lots of video tutorials for her patterns on her YouTube channel.
Captiva Crop by Laura Murphy is a flowy cropped summer tee with 9 sizes to choose from for busts measuring 28-30″ to 59-62″ and uses fingering weight yarn. $9.00
The Fiore Top by Azramati is a really beautiful cropped tee design. This is an intermediate crochet pattern and uses your body measurements to adjust the design to your size! $8.42
The harmony halter top by Crochet with Alanna is a size inclusive pattern (she does not list the sizing so it may be based on your measurements). You will need a 3.5mm hook and 8ply cotton yarn. $6.05
Bayswater Top Crochet Pattern by CoCo Crochet Lee is an intermediate pattern that calls for worsted weight (4) yarn and a 3.75mm hook. It is available in sizing from XS-5X and you can also find the free pattern on her blog! The PDF is also available on Ravelry for $5.50.
Equinox Tee by Daisy and Dime is a flowy box tee that is a great for novice crocheters. The designer states that “This novice level pattern is written tutorial style, meaning it can be made in any size required, using any yarn and hook size. While a DK weight yarn is highly recommended for this project, Equinox will work up beautifully using sport, fingering, or even light worsted weight yarns.” $6.48
Blythe Tank Top by ILoveTinderBox is a versatile pattern that you can choose to make cropped, full length, or anywhere in between. Pattern is written with sizing from XS-5X and calls for DK weight yarn and a 4.5mm crochet hook! $9.00 (CAD)
Cali Crop Top by Sierras Crochet Crafts is an intermediate crop top that comes in sizing from XS-4XL and calls for lightweight (3) yarn and a 4mm hook! $5.00
The Chickadee Crop by Hailey Bailey is considered an easy pattern and is written to allow you to customize it to your own measurements along with suggested measurements for sizes Small to 5X. The pattern calls for sport weight yarn and a 4mm hook. $7.00
Summer Bliss Top by Lambent Crochet is an intermediate level pattern but includes a photo tutorial to help make the pattern more accessible to advanced beginners. Available from XS-5X and calls for worsted weight (4) yarn and both a 6mm and 4.5mm hook! $6.05
Lost in Moss Tank by Mellow Fibers Co is written in a tutorial style and is for intermediate makers. The top is written up to allow you to make the top to your own measurements. Any hook size or yarn weight is welcome Sample in pattern fits a 36″ bust. $8.00 (not pictured)
