Crochet Christmas Gifts (You Still Have Time to Make!)

I tend to be a procrastinator when it comes to Making or shopping for Christmas gifts which can definitely add to the stress of the holiday season (why do we do this to ourselves??? 😂🤦‍♀️). I decided it was time for a second annual “gifts you still have tie to make” crochet pattern round up! So, here we gooooooo!

Simple Super Bulky Pom Pom Hat by Evelyn of Pink Sheep Design – Introducing one of the simplest, squishiest, quickest pom pom hats you’ll ever make! I’ve made this hat 100’s of times over the years (it would probably blow my mind if I knew the exact count) but it’s remained a best seller for my customers and continues to be one of my favorite designs for craft shows and artist markets because they work up so quickly! Great for beginners but also great for experienced crocheters who love designs that work up super fast & give them that instant gratification! You will need super bulky (6) weight yarn and an 11.5mm or 12mm hook for this project! Pixie Planter by Dana Hogan of Day’s Crochet NC – This adorable mini planter would be great for brightening up an office cubicle or a great teacher’s gift (or even a Mother’s Day gift!). It makes up extremely quickly and would be a great market prep item for Spring Vendor events! You will need super bulky (6) weight yarn and an 8mm hook for this project! ($2.00) – Pair with a plant & a book on indoor gardening or a book specific to the plant you chose!

Flexagon fidget toy by Andrea Cretu of Yarn Andy – If you know anyone who can’t stand still no matter how many times they are told to stop moving, who jump around, click pens, shake their legs, tap or touch things incessantly, that’s exactly who this toy is for! You will need super bulky (6) weight yarn and a 4mm hook for this project! ($3.31)

Clothesline Trivet by Jess Coppom of Make and Do Crew – This crochet trivet is as useful and functional as what it is made from–clothesline! You can batch create this project really easily, which makes these trivets lovely stocking stuffers for all the cooks in your life or hostess gifts to keep on hand year round. You will need super bulky (6) weight yarn and a 16mm hook for this project–this is a great option if you have some macrame style cotton cord you want to use! (FREE) – Pair with a coffee mug, coffee and a cute stirring spoon for a great gift set!

Daisy Scrunchie by White owl crochet co – These scrunchies work up super-fast, use very little yarn and make the perfect quick gift, for the hair or the wrist! You will need super bulky (6) weight yarn and a 5.5mm hook for this project. ($4.02) – Pair with some dry shampoo, wet detangling brush, and other hair sampler products for an awesome gift set!

Simple Chunky Headband by Evelyn of Pink Sheep Design – I’ve never been much of a hat person since my hair is usually up in a messy bun. This means that my go-to item in colder weather is usually a headband. Since I designed this headband for craft shows, I needed something that worked up quickly while also being functional–the nice wide band means your ears will be fully covered! Girls Night Out Champagne and Wine Carrier by Tamara Kelly of Moogly – The Girls Night Out Champagne and Wine Carrier is the perfect project for any occasion you want to bring a bottle of champagne or wine to – picnics, a night out, dinner at a friend’s house, you name it! It works up in a flash, has a great modern color blocking look, and keeps the bottle safer in transit too! I love this big chunky look, and it’s so stretchy it works for both a standard size wine bottle and the fat bottom champagne bottles. Squishimo Stress Ball Buddy by Caleb Poole of Crafting at the Poole – This is a perfect beginner amigurumi crochet pattern! Pretty simple stitches are used, lots of photos, and the result is an adorable little friend I call a Squishimo. These things make perfect stress balls, dog toys, and stuffies! Though I would omit the eyes if it is to be a dog/cat/pet toy. This will be one of your favorite gift in-a-pinch patterns! You will need Super Bulky (6) weight yarn and a 6.5 mm hook for this project! ($4.00) – Pair with a fidget toy, stress relieving essential oils and calming tea for a great gift set!

Super Chunky Drink Cozies by Megan Miller of mjmmade – These are a great gift idea that is also very functional – the best kind of gift I think! It’s a great stash-buster project too. The cozies help insulate beverages and are a beginner-friendly pattern. You will need super bulky yarn for this project, hook size is not listed. ($5.00)

Super CHUNKY Cowl by Evelyn of Pink Sheep Design – I used to refer to this cowl scarf as my “signature cowl” at craft shows. It was the epitome of what I loved in a scarf–chunky, squishy, oh-so- cozy, and extremely practical. You can whip one of these up in an afternoon making them a great options for last minute gifts! Dusting Mitt by Jayda In Stitches – Dusting is a chore! Make it easier and faster with a Dusting Mitt! Crochet yourself this Dust Mitt in no time at all using polyester novelty yarn that you probably already have in your stash! This easy pattern is suitable for beginners or anyone who wants to give bulky yarn patterns a try. It’s reusable and easy to clean, just pop it in the washing machine, then the dryer and it’s good to go again 🙂 Makes a great (and fast) gift! ($5.06)

Chunky Hot Water Bottle Cover by Once Upon A Whim NZ – Fits a standard 2 litre hot water bottle! You will need super bulky yarn for this pattern! ($4.44)

Boho Moon Pillow by flood city stitch – Make your own crescent moon pillow! Pillow measures approximately 13″ tall and 7″ wide when finished. You’ll need a 15 mm hook and Jumbo Size 7 yarn! ($4.44)

Sunburst Dish Scrubby by Bash Yarn Works – These are just the right size for all your kitchen or bathroom scrubbing needs. The stitches are tight enough that food particles do not get lodged inside. Pair these with some lovely holiday scented Mrs. Meyers Dish soap for a sweet Christmas gift basket!
